Agenda:

  1. ELO
    1. Canceled until after PARCC testing.
  2. Reviewing Student Videos
    1. This week: 1 point for every 3 minutes of well reviewed video. You have enough time to finish if you stay on task.
    2. Everything below is easier when you remember the goal here is to share meaningful feedback with your classmates.
      1. If that's what you aim to do, the rest is easy and the grade is just a bonus.
      2. If you don't care enough about your classmates to put effort into this, your grade WILL reflect that.
    3. Saying the same thing for multiple videos doesn't show that you cared enough to watch them.
    4. ANY answer that is generic enough to not prove you watched video is going to earn a zero.
      1. "I liked your topic for the video."
      2. "the audio needs improvement"
    5. Comments where you refuse to give an answer earn zeroes.
      1. "i dont think he needs improvements"
    6. Submitting a review faster than it takes to watch the video shows a lack of respect for the person who made that video.
  3. Series Video 13
    1. Due Friday.
  4. Storyboards
    1. Grades for Storyboard Storyboards are in SchoolMax.
    2. Mixed Shots Storyboards will all have comments before I go home today.
  5. Video Project
    1. Pick a storyboard for 4th Quarter that has earned an A. (A comment with a "+" in front of each rubric item counts.)
      1. Media Arts Tutorial Storyboard
      2. 30 Second Commercial Storyboard
      3. Storyboard Storyboard
      4. Mixed Shots Storyboard
    2. Turn your storyboard into a movie. The rubric is the same as the one you used for THAT storyboard.
    3. Don't have a storyboard that qualifies? Your assignment is ... another storyboard.
      1. Network News Storyboard
        1. 50% SEGMENTS ► News contains an opening, closing, anchors reading AT LEAST 2 stories, weather, sports, and B-roll during stories & sports.
        2. 25% VIDEO ►Intro and outro include long shots, anchors reading stories include a two shot as well as solo medium shots from different angles. Weather is a medium long shot, sports is a medium shot. B-roll shots should vary but make sense. (An extreme closeup on a player's eyes when talking about a basketball game wouldn't make sense, as they don't normally stay still long enough for such a shot.)
        3. 25% AUDIO ►News jingles selected from the YouTube Audio Library. All dialogue can be made up, but MUST be written out.
