Media Arts 12-01-2016

Warm-Up: While watching the video tutorial embedded below (USE HEADPHONES!) Make a list of the steps you should take to make a good .mp3 audio recording using Audacity.

Agenda:

  1. Argument
    1. If your parent has emailed me, I've left a comment for you in the "Argument, REVISED" project in Google Classroom.
    2. If there's no comment, I will not grade anything submitted. Your previous grade will stay as it is.
    3. Parent communication was a prerequisite for resubmitting this project.
  2.  Essays
    1. Minimum 1,000 words.
    2. Have classmate review yours while you review theirs.
    3. Make changes.
  3. Next Project
    1. Edit your FINISHED essay into 5 minutes of talk time. You might have to time yourself reading it to make sure.
    2. Focus on the parts that are most UNIQUE in your essay.
      1. I don't want to hear 5 minutes from each student where they say "I like technology."
    3. Your .mp3 recording will be due next week.
    4. We will be making something out of that .mp3, so if you skip THIS project, you will earn TWO zeroes.
    5. I don't think you want to have that conversation with your parents.
  4. Homework
    1. Remember NEW title/credits requirements.
    2. "Family" video is due tomorrow.
    3. Next week's homework should be silent EXCEPT FOR an off-camera narrator and YouTube Audio Library soundtrack.
